Chili Cheese Fries

Do you like chili? How about fries? Put them together and toss on some cheese. Wow! Very tasty and easy to make. This is one of my favorites.

This dish is healthier than it looks. The fries are my Cajun Yam Fries which are baked. The chili is my Three Bean Chili. I made a big batch and froze some of it. The cheese is the delicious and spicy Daiya pepperjack.

I started out by making the fries in the oven. While the fries were baking, I defrosted the chili. Once the fries were done, I let them cool slightly to preserve the crunch. Plate the fries, dump on the chili (about 1/2cup per plate) and then cover in cheese. Yum!

Now you have two choices. You can put the whole works back into the oven to melt the cheese, or if you are like me, you are dying to eat it and just 90 seconds in the microwave instead.

This is a delicious savory comfort food. My wife’s comment “OMG! So tasty! Is there more?”

  3. That looks amazing, I've never had chilli cheese fries before. In the UK it's a thing to put baked beans on your chips which is delicious too!
