This smoothie is quickly turning into one of our favorites. It is thick and satisfying. The berries and peanut butter go very well together. I've made it several times more since this posting. We've also been modifying it and replacing the pair with a lemon and adding some ground flax seed. For the lazy like us, the frozen berries come in a big package together at Costco.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 peeled banana
- 1 pear cut in half
- 1/3 cup frozen raspberries
- 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/3 cup frozen marionberries
- 1 heaping tablespoon peanut butter
- 4 baby carrots
Procedure
- Place all ingredients in the order listed into vita-mix (blender) and blend on high until smooth (about 30-45 seconds)
Makes about 20oz.
Excellent picture--looks very yummy. Love that angle! Great color!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to hear your views on the drink. Was it good? Great? O-kay? Can you taste the peanut butter? Carrots? Is it better than the others you've made? Is it your favorite? Does it stick to your bones. The marionberries sound great.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I added some more to the post. This is a good smoothie. We've made it several more times. Can't taste the carrots, and the peanut butter blends into the berries nicely.
