Hibiscus Tea Blend

Hibiscus Tea Blend

In my regular reading of NutritionFacts.org, I found reference to a new study on the antioxidant content of different beverages. Previously ground green tea or matcha was at the top of the list, but now Hibiscus tea is. You can read the blog post here: Hibiscus tea: flower power and the video here: Better than green tea?

To get the most Hibiscus per cup, I bought some whole tea bulk. I found Amazon had the a decent price with subscribe and save. 16oz of Davidson’s Bulk Pure Organic Hibiscus Flowers. The taste was a bit sour, so I blended it with a little Red Zinger which I picked because it has Hibiscus listed as the first ingredient. The blend reminds me of fruit punch. I’ve been mixing up a batch before bed and then sipping it all day. It tastes great. On with the recipe.
