Foxy Falafel has transitioned from a tasty food truck to a tasty restaurant. Yum! The grand opening of the restaurant on 791 Raymond in St. Paul was this past Friday. It felt very well attended. My wife and I enjoyed every scrumptious bite.
The new sign ready to be hung
Grand opening sign and the menus proudly displayed in the window. There was a constant stream of people stopping by while we were there.
Inside was cozy and bustling with people enjoying the tasty falafel in all the awesome foxy flavors – traditional, curry, and beet. The curry is my favorite; my wife loved the beet.
DJ Danny did a great job with the music.
Eggplant Salad and Beet Salad.
Zatar pita chips and hummus.
Foxy offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. I appreciate that everything is clearly labeled on the menu: V for vegetarian, VG for vegan, and GF for gluten-free. I also like that the fryer is exclusively vegetarian.
There was a little hiccup with the computer and our order was lost. After a short wait, the staff realized what happened and sprung into action. They went above and beyond and brought us the beet salad and pita chips gratis. Mistakes happen, but it is what happens afterwards that is important. The staff at Foxy Falafel handled it with grace.
I’ve been lucky and have been able to enjoy the Foxy Falafel food truck in St. Paul for lunch, and my wife has been missing out. It was great to finally share the tastiness I’ve been enjoying with her. I see Foxy Falafel restaurant becoming part of our regular rotation.
